Bossy Gamer

My older daughter, Pot, learned to play her favorite Toy Story game on PS3 a few months back.  At first she was only working on the easier quests, asking her Dad to play the rest of the game.  She plays the games by herself or in tandem with her Dad now, discovering new games on open-world Sandbox game.

This afternoon, Tag was near fainting from exhaustion.  He worked in the morning, played with the girls in the afternoon and played his favorite video games at night.  He fell asleep while playing with Pot (Nemo was watching them play).  After some time, the bossy gamer noticed that she wasn't playing with anyone anymore.

A Fairy Tale

My daughter, Pot, was in fairy tale land for the last couple of months.  She was asked by her godmother, Candice, to be one of the flower girls to her wedding. From the time that measurements were made to get her gown done, she was looking forward to the event.  The culmination was yesterday afternoon, the day of the wedding.

Pot's expectation did not fail.  It was the closest we were to a fairy tale... the closest to saying "...and they lived happily ever after."

Hooray For Today!

Do you have any song, movie or TV commercial that magically gets you back on track on difficult days?

For me it is the McDonald's breakfast jingle.  I notice that even my daughters stop their tantrums when they see this on TV.  Because of that, I keep the link handy to watch the YouTube clip whenever I want/need to. :)

Good Morning! :)

My Dad is Superman!

Pot was upset one afternoon when she noticed that her Dad was not in the same room as her.  We were watching Despicable Me then so staying in the living room was not an option to them.

So I explained to her that her father is in the kitchen, battling the roaches like a super hero.

Pot's eyes light up and said "Oh like Superman!  Where is his costume with the panties, Mommy?"

Hahaha!

Trust that kids have a way of noticing.  So the next time that you have a liking to wear your underwear inside out, DON'T!  They will notice.

Two Movies We Are Looking Forward To

It's been crazy here at home with the flu outbreak and all.  I am still unwell and I feel miserable that I did transmit the virus to Nemo.  Whenever we have a chance, we stay in bed to rest.  That explains why I can't drag my lazy self to write.

Let me just leave you with teasers of two cartoon movies that my whole family loves.

Tangled Ever After:  The Rings

I think this went straight to video.  I can't wait to buy this!

Despicable Me 2

The sequel to Despicable Me 2 will come out July of next year.  Illusion recently released a teaser and they are just adorable!

On a side note, I hope you and your family are on tip-top shape.  For my friends here in the Philippines, it is a hot summer.  Stock up on vitamins, sunblock at water.
